How fees work
Implant care often takes several visits. Here is how paying works, in the order most patients ask.
Insurance we work with
We are in network with some PPO plans and out of network with others, and we file claims for you either way. We don't accept DHMO plans. We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP. Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans differ, and we tell you what we know about yours before your first visit.

If you pay yourself
You pay at your visits, and you know the fee before we start, in writing. Implant care often runs over several visits, and the estimate shows each step. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

Receipts for reimbursement
After each visit we give you an itemized receipt. If your plan reimburses part of the cost, the plan decides what it pays and when.

An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you schedule or whenever you ask. For an implant it lists the scan, the placement, any graft, the crown and the checkups we expect.

Checking your benefits
Before your first visit we check what your plan says about implants, crowns and grafts, and tell you what we find. Plans differ and some pay nothing toward an implant, so we put it in writing before you decide.

What the first visit includes
About an hour and a half: a talk about what you want, an exam by Dr. Clemons, a 3D scan, the options and a written estimate. Fill in your health history on our private patient portal, not by email or in the contact form.
